Obsidian is glass the earth made — lava cooled too fast to ever form crystals. Ours is cut into a single tapered baton with a spiral carved through the middle, then polished until it mirrors the room. Cool to the touch, heavy in the hand, and far too beautiful to hide in a drawer.

Why we made it
